Pearls, Large White 10mm Potato
These are the classics - freshwater cultured pearls with a glossy white sheen, off-round and just flawed enough to be interesting.
Each pearl measures roughly 10x8mm, and each strand about 13.25" with 45-46 beads. Knotted and with a clasp, these should work out to 16-17" as a finished necklace. The holes on these are consistent and, for pearls, fairly large; a size 6 or 8 thread should work.
Pearls were once counted among the most precious of all jewels, and natural pearls remain rare beyond compare. These cultured pearls, each one starting with a shell bead at its core, are allowed to grow inside a freshwater mussel for anywhere from one to three years.
